WEKA is seeking a Software Engineer, Protocols to join our Protocols team and help take our Multi-Protocols Interface to the next level.
This position may be a good fit for you if you are a talented, curious, and motivated engineer eager to design and build complex distributed systems and protocol features, learn deeply about storage and AI infrastructure, and take ownership in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities Include

• Designing, implementing, and testing storage solutions, including S3, SMB, and NFS protocol integration.

• Troubleshooting and optimizing protocol-specific functionalities.

• Taking full ownership of the code and quality of features you deliver.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Availability for a full-time position is required.

• Bachelor’s degree (with excellence) in Computer Science or a related field from a top-rated academic institute.

• 1-2 years of experience in a technological unit, internship, or junior role in a tech company is an advantage.

• Knowledge of storage protocols (especially S3, SMB, and NFS) or a strong interest in learning about them.

• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

• Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-moving environment.

• Team player, autodidact, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Bonus Points

• M.Sc, academic projects, or certifications related to storage technology.

• Experience working in C++, Go, or Python.

• Familiarity with scripting languages and Linux OS-level knowledge.

• Understanding of storage concepts (S3, SMB, NFS, Linux filesystems).

• Familiarity with network concepts and protocols.

• Experience with containerized environments.

• Demonstrated project management skills.
