Weka.io is looking for a QA Engineer with a quality-first mindset—someone who thinks like a user, anticipates failure points, and is driven to ensure product excellence. If you're passionate about delivering robust, reliable software and believe quality is a shared responsibility across the team, this is for you.
About the Role
As part of our development team, you'll lead efforts to ensure the quality of our cutting-edge solutions. We value QA professionals who know how to balance deep product exploration with smart automation—using whatever tools and approaches are needed to maintain speed and quality in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Apply strong QA thinking to define and drive end-to-end testing strategies.
- Design and execute test plans for new features and system-wide behavior.
- Perform thorough manual testing to uncover hidden issues and edge cases.
- Write and maintain automation tests in Python to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Analyze technical implementations and identify weak points or risks.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to refine requirements and provide early feedback.
- Prioritize bugs by customer impact and product stability.
- Contribute to evolving QA practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong QA mindset with deep curiosity and a hands-on approach to product testing.
- Proven experience with both manual and automated testing—each used as needed to deliver quality fast.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, with an emphasis on quality-driven use, not just development.
- Strong technical skills, able to understand system architecture.
- Ability to distinguish between critical issues and minor glitches, always from the user’s perspective.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear bug reporting and collaboration.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA position.
- Familiarity with storage systems and protocols like S3, SMB, or NFS.
- Hands-on Linux experience.
