Summary
As a Senior Professional Services Engineer at WEKA, you will be responsible for delivering enterprise-class solutions and services to our customers and partners worldwide. You will become an integral and critical component of the delivery and installation process for WEKA Products. The Senior Professional Services Engineer at WEKA will not only plan and install our products but define, develop, and test automation to ensure deployment of our products is a fast, predictable, scalable, and easy experience.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for relationships with WEKA Sales, Engineering, Product Management, other internal groups, customers, and partners worldwide. You’ll work with diverse customers across many industries and environments in the Fintech, Federal/Government, Pharmaceutic, Automotive, and Research sectors implementing AI, HPC, and other state-of-the-art computing environments.
Responsibilities
The Senior Professional Services Engineer is responsible for structured and unstructured tasks, focusing on assisting customers in achieving their objectives. The ideal candidate will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.
- Responsible for the experience between the sale of the WEKA product to a full deployment to a production stage, ensuring customers have a positive experience throughout the Onboarding process.
- Manages the project of installing the WEKA product, including risk assessment, planning, deployment scheduling, and reporting status to our customers and partners
- Responsible for documentation of solution details, including diagrams and specifications, focusing on translating undefined requirements into end-end solutions.
- Utilizes open-source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project.
- Uses coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve a problem with a custom workflow.
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to scope the most effective way to tackle complex technological infrastructure challenges.
- Performs incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize human errors.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Process-oriented with excellent documentation skills
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations within Enterprise environments, focusing on mission-critical infrastructure
- Hands-on experience as a Linux Systems Administration
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Travel to the customers' domestic sites and other global sites as necessary.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
- Available for after-hours on-call support for critical issues (24x7).
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, or xcat.
- Knowledge and working experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Perl.
- Experience with Source Code Control Systems like GitHub and git
- Experience with Ethernet or InfiniBand networking, particularly 100+Gb networks
- Experience with performance monitoring/tuning Linux systems
- Experience with HPC environments, including knowledge of HPC cluster management tools
- Experience with Parallel Filesystems (Lustre, GPFS/SpectrumScale, DDN)
- Familiar with SDS (Software Defined Storage)
USA Residents Only: The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $140,000-$180,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Flexible Time off (FTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws.
