Senior Product Manager

The Product Management team at WEKA is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to support the launch of its innovative core technology and data services product. 

This PM will be the Go-To-Person for the customer-facing team on the technical aspects of the product, pricing, Go-To-Market, services capabilities, functionality, limitations, and caveats. Using his/her technical expertise, this person will collaborate deeply with development engineering, field sales engineering, customer success, Product Marketing, Product Management, and in assisting driving adoption of WEKA Advanced Data Services features and capabilities by the existing and new customers. . This PM will work closely with other PM’s and TME’s in the team to support key product innovation, growth projects, and product launch activities. This role is based out of the WEKA’s office located in Bengaluru with a requirement to travel up to 20% of the time. 

       Job Responsibilities

  • Drive and launch new product capabilities and services as part of WEKA’s Advanced Data Services portfolio
  • Deliver innovative features and solutions to complex problems by understanding user requirements, markets, competition, and business needs
  • Drive the development of product collateral such as whitepapers, case studies, and presentations to enable sales and customer-facing teams
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to influence product strategy and messaging
  • Tracking and reporting on product performance metrics to inform product roadmap and marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with engineering, TME, UX, Customer facing teams, and leadership on product strategy, roadmap, and execution.
  • Lead and Manage product beta programs and work with customers, product managers, and engineers to complete testing, gather detailed feedback, and replicate issues.
  • Work with the field team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical impediments to transactions.
  • Identify solution integration opportunities with technical partners and system integrators to bring full-stack data management solutions to the market
  • Support the sales team with product training and enablement, including delivering presentations and demos to customers and prospects and complex product deployments.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key industry influencers and thought leaders to increase product awareness and drive adoption
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other engagements as required to present product solution

    Requirements

This role requires a strong foundation in both written and verbal communication, especially within a technical context. Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in product management, with a focus on security software, infrastructure, and practices
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of file and object access protocols, and multi-protocol data and storage solutions 
  • In-depth comprehension of typical system architectures
  • Capability to conduct thorough technical analyses, collaborating closely with R&D teams to address performance-related concerns and anomalies.
  • Specific experience in building the strategy and roadmaps for software-defined platforms in agile environments
  • Ability to build Excel-based partner tools for BOM, Sizing, Pricing, etc purposes
  • Experience working with teams across geographies and business units
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication/presentation skills with a strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions
  • BA/BS required, in Computer Science or related technical degree preferred
