About the Role  


WEKA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Head of Global Deal Desk to join our GTM Operations team. This leader, reporting to the VP of GTM Operations, will establish our deal desk and then eventually build and grow a team responsible for supporting the field on the most complex deals, scaling business models, and driving change to support the scaling business. Being successful in this role requires a large degree of software and cloud commercial deal experience, analytical thought leadership, excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to synthesize complex data and solve problems.


Initially, this will be senior level individual contributor role with an opportunity to build out a team to support Strategic Accounts Globally.


About You


The successful candidate will bring deep experience in enterprise software commercial finance required, including in negotiating and approving commercial deal structures

  • Understanding of key issues affecting deal desk around deal structuring, bookings policies and revenue recognition






  • Proactively support our Global Sales teams on all deal-related matters to help find quality solutions to complex deal challenges including compliant complex deal structures and pricing expertise
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to seek inputs for complex deals including working closely with Finance, Accounting and Legal on non-standard deals
  • Ensure all quote approvals, deal reviews and deal structures are reviewed and executed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the field to develop scalable and repeatable deal structures that meet customer objectives while also adhering to WEKA policies on pricing and commercial terms
  • Maintain detailed documentation over the Deal Desk approval and deal structuring processes and present to Sales on an ad hoc basis 
  • Continuously optimize the data, tools, and process throughout the quote to cash lifecycle
  • Organize weekly Executive Deal Review cadence across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success and Legal leaders 
  • Support the Accounting / FP&A teams during quarter reviews, annual audits, and preparation of Board materials, by providing input, answering questions, and providing clarification on strategic deals or Deal Desk processes
  • Build and scale a deal desk model that supports volume and velocity while maintaining accuracy for downstream stakeholders
  • Analyze quoting and pricing patterns to drive recommendations and optimization of customer LTV; Build and maintain a detailed deal margin output for Sales



  • 7+ years of experience in a strategic deal desk, legal, sales operations, or a revenue role
  • Prior experience with a fast-growth enterprise software company highly preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills with an emphasis on the ability to summarize and translate complex needs of the field; ability to confidently work up, down and across a global organization
  • Builder/Executer mentality to work on existing deals but also investing in setting up deal management strategies and processes for scale
  • Software/SaaS/Subscription experience is required
  • Deep understanding of revenue technology tools with an emphasis on SFDC and CPQ
  • Working experience in a multinational environment and understanding of international operations and legal requirements
  • Flexible to work extended hours and across multiple time zones during peak business periods
  • Ability to travel (10%)
  • Location: SF Bay area, Austin TX, or open to remote work for US based employee (may impact travel requests)
  • B.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
